Becoming an umpire must be taken seriously as your actions helps determine the integrity of the game. We must treat this responsibility as one of great importance with a level of professionalism beyond the expectation of our participants and spectators.
Welcome to the Umpires' Corner
If you are not a nationally certified umpire you are required to take the NYSA qualifying umpire exam (PLEASE NOTE: THIS EXAM IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE NATIONAL UMPIRE EXAM).

  • INTERMEDIATE
  • ADVANCE

  • I promise to uphold the integrity of the game by umpiring based on the content of the IFNA rule book and NYSA tournament rules.I promise to be truthful and fair in my performance as an umpire or a scorer.
  • I promise that I will inform NYSA in advance if I am not able to attend game(s).I promise to be professional when I am at the official’s table and during the process of umpiring I promise to abide by the NYSA code of conduct 
  • I promise to wear my umpire uniform to each game I am scheduled to umpire (full white).I understand that NYSA’s executive board members can remove me from umpiring a game if my performance is not in accordance to the IFNA rule book and NYSA’s tournament rules or code of conduct.
  • I promise to uphold the integrity of the game by umpiring based on the content of the IFNA rule book and NYSA tournament rules.
  • I promise to be truthful and fair in my performance as an umpire or a scorer.
